Le Grand Mekong Hotel, Phnom Penh

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. However, the dining experience left something to be desired with limited breakfast options. The location was superb, right along the riverfront, and the facilities were top-notch. Overall, it was a great value for money.

Staying at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms without a view at the back felt a bit like a cave, but having a nice balcony was a plus. The ceiling above the bathroom was a bit of an odd design choice. The service was good, especially with dry cleaning and newspaper service available. The location right at the riverfront of the Ton Le Sap river in Phnom Penh was stunning, and enjoying breakfast on the roof terrace was a highlight. The dining experience was decent, with nice views from the roof, but the limited meat-only items were a bit disappointing. The facilities were adequate, providing a comfortable stay overall.

The hotel sits right along the river side, offering a unique view over the river and placing me in the center of the buzzing Phnom Penh. Though the area can feel a bit dark for walking around at night, the abundance of nearby restaurants adds to the convenience. The rooms may lack the 'suite' feel, but the interesting river view compensates.
